Microsoft changes the windows update model in OS Windows 7 and 8.1

Microsoft company decided to change the windows update system in their previous operating systems Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

These changes will affect only windows 7 and 8.1, they will receive a cumulative windows update model just like in Windows 10. The last one uses more advanced update model based on an automatic download of all updates in cumulative packages. The difference between this model and old one is that during the update of the operating system you don’t have to choose windows updates one by one and install them, this will be done automatically in one package. This feature is especially important for users of Windows 7 and 8.1 that don’t have any installed updates at all. From the October 2016 users of these operating systems can perform a windows update of clean copies of the OS with only one update package.

A little earlier Microsoft already released a Service Pack 2 cumulative update package for Windows 7. This package upgraded an operating system to an actual state, but after that, users still had to choose updates one by one after that. With a new update model its all more universal, all updates will be delivered as cumulative packages, there will be no need to download updates one by one anymore.
