Major Adult Content Leak Detected From OnlyFans Platform

Experts from the information security firm BackChannel noticed that RaidForums has a link to Google Drive that it contains data obtained as a result of a large leak of adult content from the OnlyFans platform.

OnlyFans is marketed as a site where content creators can directly make money by sharing images, videos and streams with their fans who pay to subscribe. Although advertised as a platform for celebrities and influencers, the site is quite popular and heavily used for sharing adult content.

According to BackChannel, the recovered dump contains footage from 279 content creators, with most of this footage dating from October 2020. In just one of the folders, the researchers found more than 10 GB of videos and photos.

Experts believe that this dump was collected by several people at once:

“OnlyFans subscribers often exchange files with each other. OnlyFans has very weak content control mechanisms, and there are many bots and parsers that a legitimate subscriber can use. The uniqueness of this [dump] is that so many users are combined into one folder”

Content creators encountered a big problem after the leak. The point is that content owners on OnlyFans have to report copyright infringements for each individual file, and this is the only way to remove them from Google Drive.

If a lot of files are leaked, this can be quite tedious.

“Stolen sexually explicit imagery is explicitly called out in their terms of service as a breach, however the only way to report this content is to go to each individual file and report it”? — BackChannel founder Aaron DeVera explained.

Since it was revealed that the discovered folder is being shared with the San Francisco City College account, BackChannel experts are trying to contact the educational institution and remove it completely.

In addition, to help content creators determine if they were affected by this leak, BackChannel analysts have created a special page where you can check your username.
