620 million accounts from 16 different sites was found in Dark Web.

On the Dark Web sites, data of 617 million accounts were discovered, which were stolen from 16 different websites. Vendors require $ 20,000 in Bitcoins for them, you can buy merged data at the Dream Market site.

Information on user accounts of the following Internet services is available:

  • Dubsmash (162 million)
  • MyFitnessPal (151 million)
  • MyHeritage (92 million)
  • ShareThis (41 million)
  • HauteLook (28 million)
  • Animoto (25 million)
  • EyeEm (22 million)
  • 8fit (20 million)
  • Whitepages (18 million)
  • Fotolog (16 million)
  • 500px (15 million)
  • Armor Games (11 million)
  • BookMate (8 million)
  • CoffeeMeetsBagel (6 million)
  • Artsy (1 million)
  • DataCamp (700,000)

Researchers have already confirmed the legitimacy of some of the data sold. They contain the names of account holders, email addresses, passwords. Fortunately, passwords are in hashed form.

Thus, if someone acquires this data, they will first have to decrypt the passwords for their accounts in order to use them.

Also for some accounts there is information such as geolocation, personal data, authentication tokens for social networks. Experts say that there are no details of bank cards or payment systems in the merged database.
