Project No More Ransom, founded jointly by “Kaspersky Lab”, “Intel Security”, “Europol” and the law enforcement authorities of the Netherlands, a few months of its existence has helped to decipher the files of more than 2.5 thousand. According to the center representative threats GReAT with “Kaspersky Lab” Jornt v.d. Wiel, No More Ransom helped to decipher the 822 computers infected CoinVault, and 941 machines that have been victims of Shade. Given another 700 computers decrypted, the total number of users who were able to avoid paying the ransom, reached the 2463. Otherwise, the damage could reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. The most recent replenishment of the site became a decoder for malicious Wildfire; on No More Ransom available more than 1,600 keys.
